I like what you are doing here. I’m thinking more and more of using Yii for my eCommerce solution instead of Magento CE
I’m reading Larry Ullman’s “The Yii Book” Eventually he’ll have this: Chapter 24: Making an E-commerce Site
I’m not so good yet at Yii, even though I’ve been using it for over a year now. I have made integrated Zend Gdata successfully to bring in data from Google Docs spreadsheet that is reliable for past 9 months.
Thanks again for putting up your site about Yii and eCommerce. Really sounds promising. I was viewing your screenshots of your program. I was wondering can your program pull from a database say hundreds of different products and put up pages dynamically for each product with matching specs from various tables for example? Do you screen shots of that??

Thanks for the kind words. This is still in development and i’ve decided on some major changes like using Backbone.js for the front-end of the site, changing the theme to a simpler bootstrap theme, adding Twig as a template engine etc.. Like i said it’s still under development.
I haven’t read Larrys book myself but i’m sure it’s a great book to learn from. Not sure if i understand the questions you had at the end. Can you elaborate on what exactly you mean.
